Danny is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science where he earned a Scholastic Achievement Award. He is a National licensed funeral director/embalmer and recently was named "National Funeral Director of the Year 2017". Danny is a member of First Christian Church.

Danny has served on the Korners Folly Foundation Board, Board of Care Net Counseling Center, and the Board for the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. He is a member of the Kernersville Lions Club and is a past District Governor for Lions District 31-D. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow and has also served on numerous state committees as well.

Danny served on the Board for Hospice, the Music Academy of North Carolina, The Shepherd's Center of Kernersville, Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, the former Downtown Council, and CrimeStoppers. He has chaired numerous fund raising committees and has helped raise over $5,000,000 for various charities around the Triad. Danny is a 2005 Graduate of Leadership Kernersville and is also an after dinner and motivational speaker. Danny is married to the former Rosette Ambrose. They have four children Jonathan, Nikki, Joshua, and Jordan. They also have three grandsons Jack, Ramsey, and Noah.

Phil Bauguess

Funeral Associate and Clergy

Phil a lifelong resident of the Kernersville area and graduated from Moravian Theological Seminary.  He is an ordained minister and has served numerous churches. He has been a part of the Pierce-Jefferson team for almost 10 years.

Phil leads our family care ministry, designs and sells monuments and markers for our families, and is a licensed life insurance agent for our various Advance Planning Opportunities.

Phil is a member of the Kernersville Kiwanis and along with his wife, the former Paula Ross, is a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.  Phil and Paula have two daughters, Melissa and Allison, and three granddaughters, Emerson, Kinleigh, and Olivia.a

Leigh Hunnicutt Armentrout

Funeral Director

Leigh H. Armentrout is a licensed funeral director, with over 17 years experience. Leigh is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of the Women’s Golf Team.  Still an avid golfer, she enjoys participating in tournaments at the state championship level, and especially local charity golf events. She has been married to her husband, Chuck Armentrout, for over 30 years and they have a son, Charlie, and a daughter, Shelby.

Bob Miller

Funeral Associate

Bob resides in Thomasville and has three children; Cindi Staton, daughter Lindzie Grace, Ross Friesinger, wife Dana, and son Logan, Christi Spangle, husband Allen, daughter Madison, and son Adam. Bob is a member of Deep River Friends Meeting in High Point. Bob enjoys singing Southern Gospel music and playing golf.

Jimmie Pegram

Funeral Associate

Jimmy is a long-time resident of Kernersville. His wife is Brenda and they attend Kernersville Wesleyan Church.

Patrick Harlow

Funeral Service Apprentice

Patrick Harlow is a graduate of Grimsley High School in Greensboro.  He attended Caldwell Community College and now is continuing his education at Fayetteville Technical Community College in the Funeral Service Program.  He had previously worked for over ten years in a managerial role with Papa John’s.  He is married to the former Samantha Leonard Harlow and they are proud parents of two beautiful daughters Rose and Mae Harlow.  Patrick, Sam, Rose, and Mae are members of Christ United Methodist Church.

Ron Beeson

Funeral Associate

Ron is a native of Colfax and currently lives in Oak Ridge with wife Jo. They are former owners of Beeson Sign Company in Kernersville. They have two sons Brian and Randy. 

Ron is retired from Piedmont Airlines/US Airways. He is a business partner with Beeson Sign Company.

Ron and Jo are members of Shady Grove Wesleyan Church in Colfax. Ron has assisted the Pierce-Jefferson team for over five years.

Tabitha Coyle

Floral Designer

Tabitha "Tabby" has lived her entire life in the Kernersville/Oak Ridge area. She is passionate about art/design/creations, and truly is a welcome addition to the Floral Design staff. She is married to Brandon Short and she has a son Tytan Coyle and step-daughter Daylin Short.

Katie Puckett

Funeral Service Licensee

Katie is a native of Stuart, VA where she attended and graduated from Patrick County High School. She attended Surry Community College and earned her cosmetology license. She then attended and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Funeral Service. Katie is second generation in the funeral industry behind her father who has over 30 years of experience. Katie thoroughly has a passion for each family she serves. 


Tuck Corvinus


Tuck Corvinus has been a staff member since March of 2016. He brings a wealth of business experience to the team. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War Era in the United States Air Force and he understands our Veterans needs very well. He is married to Beth Corvinus, has two sons and three grandchildren. He is a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, enjoys boating, fishing and especially time with his grandchildren.

Kathy Prescott

Office Administrator

A native of North Carolina, resides in Kernersville with her husband, Bob.  She has two children, Clint and Jessica and an adorable grandson Christian.

Kathy is retired from North Carolina Baptist Hospital after 33 years of service in Administration.  She is very active in community service, volunteering  with the Kernersville Shepherd Center, volunteer for Junior Achievement of the Triad and serves on the Board of the Community Appearance Commission of Kernersville.  She enjoys traveling with friends, and most importantly spending time with family, grandchildren and new puppy, Bishop.  

Britney Jones

Crematory Operator/Funeral Service apprentice

Britney Jones graduated with the Class of '06 from Lucy Ragsdale High School in Jamestown. She attended Guilford Technical Community College and graduated with a Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology. Britney enrolled in the GTCC Police Academy program and continued her education at Guilford College working on a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Biology and minoring in Criminal Justice. Although her education was Criminology, and many family members connected to the funeral industry, Britney felt her calling was the funeral service industry . After considering her options, Britney decided to enroll in Fayetteville Technical Community College Funeral  Service Program. She would graduate with an Associate’s degree in Funeral Service in 2017.  Britney has a sweet puppy named Lulu and is a native of North Carolina.
