Russell Gray Fulp

March 9, 1934 ~ April 6, 2018 (age 84)

Russell Gray Fulp, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, from the home, April 6, 2018 as he was surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Sunday April 8, 2018 at Walkertown First Baptist Church with Pastor Philip Crouse and Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Sunday.

A native of Forsyth County, Russell was the son of the late Grace Myrtle Vanhoy and Ernest Russell Fulp. He married the former Ruth Alice Casper, who survives, on May 2, 1958. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his sister Reba Snider, and brother-in-law R.C. Flynn.

Russell was a longtime faithful member of Walkertown First Baptist Church where he served as an Usher. He was an active member of the Walkertown Civic Club. He was a charter member of Walkertown Fire Department. He had been employed by Gant Oil Company for forty years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed his time farming, gardening, camping with family and friends, and his grandchildren were his true pride and joy.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 60 years, Ruth C. Fulp of the home; sons Mark Gray Fulp and Tina, and Steve Delane Fulp and Tammy all of Walkertown; granddaughters Kynley Fulp, Heather Fulp, and Paige Fulp; sisters Peggy Flynn of Walnut Cove, Rebecca Nifong and Richard of Walkertown, and Faye Southern and Roy of Walkertown; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
