I remember when Mom and Dad came to Germany to visit when we were stationed there. We had gone down to Pete's to have dinner and another patron at the guesthaus started to talk to Mom and she didn't understand a word he said. He couldn't understand how a German woman couldn't understand a word of German. She laughed and laughed. and when we were down in Bavaria for my birthday, we snuck out to feed the swans down on the lake early in the morning. She was such great fun. I loved her very much!
