Clemente Carrisalez, 61, passed away March 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

He was born August 1, 1955 in Cd. Anahuac, Mexico to the late Cristina Zavala and Arturo Cardenas.

Clemente enjoyed a long career in the truck driving industry.  He was known as the family prankster, entertaining his family and friends with his antics. His family came first to him, especially being a role model for his children and grandchildren. Clemente was not a materialistic person, and taught his family the value of hard work and relationships with others as being the most important thing in life. He was a very loving and giving person.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children Silvia Cantu and husband Eliezer Cantu, Nilda Cardenas de Lara and husband Angel Lara, Jose G. Cardenas and wife Alejandra Cardenas, and Arturo Cardenas; grandchildren Cynthia N. Cantu, Eliezer Cantu, Jr., Nelly E. Lara, Erick C. Cantu, Melanie A. Cardenas, Edwin Y. Cantu, and Miley P. Cardenas.

The family will visit with friends following the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 1730 Link Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
